Then life got in the way and the virus had us all staying home. We are fortunate to live here in Florida where we didn’t have to endure severe restrictions and life is gradually returning to “normal”. Many of us had the virus and are okay, many more have been vaccinated. We’re good! Sigh…
Our weekly Friday Corvette Breakfast at Oscar’s Family Restaurant is going strong and attracting new Corvette people. Our last Corvette Car Show at the Lake Placid, Florida American Legion was our best ever! So, Karen and I said to John and Mary Carol, “We think it’s time for another Thirsty Thursday event!” They both said, “Sure!” Then Mary Carol said, “Are you going to make those meatball muffins things again?” I’ll have to post the recipe. LOL! This time I made Chicken, Shrimp, and Sausage Jambalaya. It must have been GOOD, all that was left was enough for a small bowlful!

The Thirsty Thursday formula is simple; We get together at someone’s house for snacks, beverages, conversation, and good company. Oh yes, and we talk a lot about Corvettes! Indeed, a good time was had by all! My Mom and even our dog, Rosie enjoyed themselves. And they aren’t into Corvettes either!
Our last Corvette Car Show for the season is on Saturday, May 22 at the American Legion from 11 am-to-2 pm. Then our next Corvette Car Show will be five months later on Saturday, October 23 at the American Legion.
